Overview
Basing on a boat is a great way to enjoy a ski vacation. No commute — we wake up every morning only minutes from clipping into our skis. At the end of the day, we step onto the boat for après ski with all our friends as we motor to our next destination. Our hosts Nick and Estella are also a big part of the experience. The SkyDancer is their home, and aboard we are invited into their world. All meals are outstanding and plentiful. Dinner is served family-style, always hearty and tasty. Breakfast is buffet-style so we can all eat when we choose as we prepare for our day. Lunch is sandwiches and snacks put together from leftover breakfast and goodies Estella sets out for us. The Lyngen Alps rise dramatically from the fjords of Arctic Norway near Tromsø — some of the most spectacular mountains in Europe. Jagged peaks with long couloirs plunge directly into saltwater fjords. Each morning we assess conditions and sail to the best available terrain, giving us an enormous range of options each day. Six full days of ski touring and ski mountaineering in one of the world's truly elite backcountry destinations. This trip includes 2 IFMGA/AMGA certified mountain guides, the SkyDancer's captain and chef/deckhand, 7 nights aboard, and all meals. Only alcohol and personal insurance are excluded.

Itinerary
Board the SkyDancer
Move into your cabin, organize gear, attend the trip briefing, and enjoy dinner. Plan to board between 10am and 1pm. Use the morning for any last-minute shopping — alcohol, specialty items, or gear needs.
Ski Day 1
First full day of ski touring and ski mountaineering in the Lyngen Alps. Guides assess conditions and select the best terrain. Sail to the next destination in the evening.
Ski Day 2
Second full day on the mountain. The boat's mobility means we can always find the best snow — different aspect, different fjord, different peak.
Ski Day 3
Third day of ski touring. By now the group is moving well together and the guides push into bigger terrain.
Ski Day 4
Fourth full day. The Arctic light, the fjord views, and the quality of skiing in the Lyngen Alps is unlike anywhere else in Europe.
Ski Day 5
Fifth day. Conditions and snowpack assessed by the guides each morning — always positioned for fresh snow and ideal aspects.
Ski Day 6
Final full day of skiing. Make it count — one last big run above the fjord before sailing back.
Departure
Disembark and transfer to Tromsø for your flight home.
