Overview
The Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the world's great walks — a journey through the heart of the Khumbu, past ancient monasteries, suspension bridges over roaring rivers, and into the shadow of the highest peaks on Earth. We offer 11-day, 14-day, and 19-day itineraries. The 19-day trip is most recommended — it allows the best acclimatization schedule, weather buffer days, and the chance to truly experience the culture and landscape at a human pace. Highlights include a scenic flight into Lukla, exploring Namche Bazaar (the hub of the Khumbu), visiting the Tengboche Monastery with its stunning views of Ama Dablam and Everest, and the final push to both Everest Base Camp (17,600 ft) and Kala Patthar (18,225 ft) — the classic viewpoint for a face-on panorama of Everest. Along the way you'll cross dozens of suspension bridges over the Dudh Khosi river, stay in well-built tea houses, and walk the same trails used by Sherpa climbers for generations. Our guide Todd Passey has deep personal friendships with Sherpa families in the valley — this trip is about more than just the mountain.
